UNOFFICIAL ELECTION RESULTS

ELECTION OF PRIOR GENERAL

The election was held according to Constitutions 275-276. There were 81 members voting. The results of the first ballot:

Joseph Chalmers - 75 votes
Mark Attard - 1 vote
Tjeu Timmermans - 1 vote
Micael O'Neill - 2 votes
Carlo Cicconetti - 1 votes

Therefore Joseph Chalmers was elected for six years as Prior General of the Order. He accepted his election and thanked the members of the General Chapter for their trust. He then thanked John Malley for his service as President of the Chapter. He then took over as President.

ELECTION OF VICE GENERAL

The election was held immediately following the election of the Prior General. There were 81 members voting. The results of the first ballot :

Carlo Cicconetti - 48 votes
Rafael Lieva - 25 votes
Fernando Millán - 1 vote
Heribertus Heru - 2 votes
Tjeu Timmermans - 3 votes
Tiberio Scorano - 2 votes

Therefore Carlo Cicconetti was elected Vice General of the Order and accepted the election.

ELECTION OF PROCURATOR GENERAL

The election was held for the position of Procurator General whose roll is described in Constitution 306. The results of the election:

Josef Jancar - 65 votes
Dariusz Borek - 6 votes
Enzo Mosca - 2 votes
Günter Benker - 1 votes
Michael Farrugia - 2 votes
Blank - 4
Nul - 1

Josef Jancar was elected Procurator General and accepted the position.

ELECTION OF ECONOMO GENERAL

The election was then held for the position of General Bursar (Economo General). The position is described in the Constitutions #307. The results are:

James Des Lauriers - 50 votes
Michael Farrugia - 12 votes
Josef Kemper - 2 votes
Enzo Mosca - 8 votes
Robert Colaresi - 2 votes
Edward Van Aalsum - 1 vote
William Harry - 1 vote
Domingo Fragoza - 1 vote
Emmett Gavin - 1 vote
Celso Prieto - 1 vote

James Des Lauriers was elected and Wayne Stanhope, his provincial accepted on his behalf.

ELECTION OF GENERAL COUNCIL MEMBERS

The moderator, Fr. Rafael Leiva began by reading #301-305 of the Constitutions which outlines the qualities and the tasks of the General Councilors. There were 80 members present and 80 votes cast.

William Harry - 62 votes
Tjeu Timmermans - 7 votes
Christian Körner - 3 votes
Pankraz Ribbert - 1  vote
Redemptus Valabek - 1 vote
John Welch - 1 vote
Blank - 2 votes
Nullo - 3 votes

Fr. William Harry was therefore elected on the first ballot and when asked by the Prior General accepted the election.

Rogério de Lima - 2 votes

Fr. Carlos Mesters was therefore elected on the first ballot and when asked by the Prior General accepted the election.
